The Meaty Ogres
The Meaty Ogres
The Meaty Ogres are a Berkeley, CA-based sextet with a mission to revive rock, funk, and soul favorites while introducing their own sounds from the Ogre creative archive. The band's unique blend of musical backgrounds has created one of the Bay Area's fun new groove-tastic forces. They are Dave Mackay (Harmonica, Percussion, vocals), Tommy Sasso (Keys, vocals), Chris Kemp (Drums), Andre DeRussy (Guitar, vocals), Joe Vittoria (Lead Guitar), and Joshua Kaplan (Bass).
Quench
Quench
Quench brings a funk-driven sound inspired by modern heavy-hitters like Lettuce, Orgone and Galactic as well as pioneering legends like The JBs, The Meters, Chaka Khan and Sharon Jones. This group is a songwriting and performance powerhouse made of Phil Remer (guitar), Andy Levine (bass), Todd Santaniello (drums), Jonathan Lancaster (sax, keys), Lauren Gould (voclas) and Rachel Howard (voclas). Drink in their gritty, fluid compositions and get your harmony restored.
Haulin' Oats
Haulin' Oats
Haulin Oats is a high-energy, dancefloor-ready tribute to the music of Daryl Hall & John Oates. The mullet and the moustache are well-represented with this crew of Bay Area gents, which includes Michael Rayray from Sal's Greenhouse, Ben Levine from Boombox, Kevin Seal from Griddle, and Pop Rocks alumni Mike McHale and Franklin Vasquez. The group recently played a sold-out show at Great American Music Hall with the Illeagles.
